Optimize your mobile phone’s battery life to make it last longer. Most of the cell phone batteries do not last for a long time. Soon, you find yourself buying new battery for your phone because the old battery dies within minutes while you are on call or listening to music.
Here are 9 tips on how to optimize your cell phone’s battery life to last longer:
1. Turn off your mobile phone
Switch it off when you do not need. For instance, you can switch off the phone at night. If you are worried about important calls at night, you can forward them to your home phone.
2. Charge your new battery to the full
If you’ve got a new battery recently, it is very important to charge it to the full at the first time. Depending upon the type of the battery, you must charge it. For instance for Nickel batteries, you may charge upto 16 hours whereas for Lithium batteries 5-6 hours is enough.
3. Charge to the full
Whenever you charge your cell phone’s battery, do it for a longer duration. Partial charges hampers the battery life and if you do it consistently, the battery will stop charging to the full.
4. Turn off Vibrate mode when battery is low.
Battery drains at a slow rate when your phone is on ringing mode or beep mode compared to the vibrate mode.
5. Keep your battery in a cool place.
Keeping the battery of your phone in a cool place increases its life, however in hot conditions it will lose life.
6. Clean the connection points of the battery.
Cleaning the connection points of the battery by means of a rubber or cotton swabs dipped in alcohol enhances the battery life.
7. Turn off applications that run in background.
If your phone allows you to run multiple applications at the same time, make sure you close the unwanted ones. Open applications also eats up battery life.
8. Good network signal, good battery life.
If your phone receives poor network signal life it searches for signal. When the phone searches for signal, the battery gets used up fast. So, you must keep your phone in a place where it gets full network.
9. Additional tips.
Switch off your cell phone’s backlight.
Lower the phone’s brightness.
Close Bluetooth service, if you are not using it.
Keep your phone calls short.
