Avoid Credit Card Frauds Online, Tips to Prevent Credit Card Identity Thefts
To avoid credit card frauds and identity thefts online, you need to take the following steps

1. Banks are now going for additional validation and authetication of credit cards for online transactions. A system of ‘online alerts’ will be sent to the card holder for all transactions that are more than 100 USD or Rs.5000
2. Do not provide photocopies of both sides of the credit card to anyone. The card verification value (CVV) which required for online transactions is printed on the back of the card. Anyone can use the card for online purchases if the CVV information is available to them.

4. While using a credit card to make payments online, check if the site is safe. The address bar will begin with “https.” The CVV will also be necessary;
5.. Do not give any information to persons seeking credit card information over the phone;
5. Notify your bank or Rredit card issuer if you do not receive monthly statement of yoru credit card on time. If a credit card is misplaced or lost, make sure you cancel it quickly
