Chennai Super Kings are IPL 3 winners. Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians in a thrilling match and proved to be the team with greater nerve. Chennai Super Kings had scored 168 for 5 in 20 overs. The turn around came with Bowlinger and the stellar captaincy of Mahindra Singh Dhoni was visible. Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by 22 runs.

Mumbai lost its wickets early and Tendulkar lost his wicket at 48, and others couldn’t hold much. K Pollard made a brave attempt at 27 but that was not enough. Suresh Raina was the top scorer for Chennai Super Kings with 57 runs not out.

Kerala or Pune? Which IPL team do you support?

Both Kerala and Pune are in IPL 4. Though it is understandable that Puneites will back Pune and Keralites will support Kerala, all of us have our choices. So, though it is early days, let us know which IPL cricket team would you support: Pune or Kerala?

Kochi(Kerala) and Pune in IPL 4

If IPL3 is drawing maximum eye-balls and TRPS, IPL 4 is certainly getting bigger. Two new teams Kochi(Kerala) and Pune will be rocking IPL 4 as brand new entrants.

AN assorted group of businessmen from Kerala — backed by minister of state for external affairs and Twitterer Shashi Tharoor and Sahara Adventure Sports walked away with the bid.
A hitherto unknown consortium called Rendezvous Sports World Ltd surprised all, including IPL chairman Lalit Modi, by putting up the second highest bid for an IPL team. They bid Rs1,533 crore to bring Kochi on the cricketing map.
Indian cricket team sponsors Sahara, made the top bid of Rs1,702 crore and won Pune

The combined amount of the two bids was Rs3235.2 crore, at least 25% more than the combined bid for the eight teams purchased in the first round of team formation in 2008. Videocon (Rs1,471.5 crore) and Adani (Rs1,449 crore), favourites before the BCCI dint really score.Pune City Corporation gave the lowest bid of Rs1,200 crore and came fifth in the bidding process.

Kings Eleven Punjab Beat Chennai Superkings in a Thriller

Kings X11 Punjab beat Chennai Superkings in a Super-Over match. A thrilling match which went down the wire, culminated in a superover with Yuvraj Singh hitting the final four runs.

R Ashwin of Chennai Superkings went out off the final delivery as Chennai finished on 136 for seven in reply to Punjab’s 136 for eight forcing the contest to decided in the Super Over.

In the Super Over, chasing 10 for victory, Yuvraj Singh reverse swept Muttiah Muralitharan for a boundary to win the match for his team after Mahela Jayawardene [ Images ] had hit the first ball for a six.

In the Super Over, Chennai, batting first made nine for two before they lost two wickets to Juan Theron. Matthew Hayden was bowled for a duck and Suresh Raina hit a six before he was out off a top edge as Chennai lost both their wickets, scoring just nine in the over.

Mumbai Indians Beat Delhi Daredevils by 98 Runs

Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Dare Devils by 98 Runs. Sachin Tendulkar’s superb knock of 63, Saurab Tiwari’s blistering 61 runs and the overall team effort contributed to the win. Mumbai lost the toss but everthing else fell into place. Sachin Tendulkar’s half century was the fastest half century by Mumbai Indians. Also it was the fastest 100 by any team in IPL 3.

Delhi Daredevils could not really match up to the game and apart from the brilliant fielding of Yogesh Nagar who caught Jayasurya at 7 runs, Mumbai Indians were on top of the game from the very beginning.

Deccan Chargers beat Chennai Super Kings by 31 runs

Defending T20 Champions Deccan Chargers back on track by brushing aside Chennai Super Kings by 31 runs at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. Deccans posted a stiff target(191) for Super Kings to Chase.. but, Vaas picked up early wickets in his first two overs made Chennai to manage only 151 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
