How do I choose a good B-school? With so many B-schools mushrooming around, choosing the right one seems like an eternal dilemma. And you can never be sure whether you’ll manage to bag your dream job after the degree. So we tell you how to select the right business school:
• If you’re worried about getting a good job after your course, check the placement track record of the institute. Speak to the alumni to know more about the college and how easy it was for them to get jobs of their choice.
• The infrastructure of the college needs to be great. A well-stocked library, a state-of-the-art computer centre, a spacious campus, modern classrooms are some of the basic facilities that you will need. Visit the campus before you fill up the application form, the prospectus always looks better than the real thing!
• Find out about the faculty of the college. After all, it is the faculty that makes the institute what it is. The part-time faculty needs to be as good as the full-timers. The former are the ones who are in jobs and you can know how good they are depending on the companies they work for and the designation they hold.
• If you’re an outstation student, you need to find out whether the college has a hostel facility. Check out the condition of the dorms.
• The reputation of the institute is also a very important thing to consider
