India will ask for Extradition of Warren Anderson

India will seek the extradition of former Union Carbide CEO Warren Anderson from the US, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said here on Saturday. He quoted, “We would request the US government for the extradition of Warren Anderson, Union Carbide CEO at the time of the Bhopal gas tragedy,”
Warren Anderson was the CEO of the Union Carbide when due to the pesticide plant leak on December 2-3, 1984, 3000 people died quickly and many more later. Anderson, 89, is now retired and lives in the US.
