IPL4 will have No Parties

IPL 4 will have no more post match parties; cricket will be more serious and professional in the season 4. We don’t really know who will be the IPL4 boss, Chirayu Amin or Lalit Modi as of now.
IPL3 though raked in the highest TRPs ever in India’s TV watching history, was fraught with controversies galore like the Shashi Tharoor-Lalit Modi controversy, Lalit Modi’s removal by the BCCI etc. So much was the damage that Indian skipper Mahinder Singh Dhoni blamed IPL parties for non-performance in the T-20 World Cup.
Times Now reported that not only will the parties will be a thing of past in IPL4, but the matches will also be reduced from 94 games to just 65 matches. There will be two more teams in the fray: Kochi and Pune.
Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi is happy with the new change. “The IPL is a good tournament which would be better off without all the hullabaloo. It would be great if the importance of cricket is restored. I don’t want the tournament to be demolished, but presently, it’s a disgrace.” However he wants other changes as well. “Players who have retired from international cricket should not be allowed to compete. Cricketers like Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden looked rusty. “It would only be fair to giving more opportunities to current players. If you continue to have retired players in the fray you can’t say the IPL is on the same lines as the English Premier League. Only the best should play the IPL.”
Some of the other changes in IPL4 include
1. Creation of two groups to keep the matches to 65
2. . The number of players to be retained by existing team owners being mulled over to 3 Indians and 2 foreigners.
3. For each retained player the Governing Council will be fixing a cap.
4. Mid innings strategy breaks is going to be a thing of past
