Kolkata Knight Riders Defeat Deccan Chargers by 11 runs

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Deccan Chargers champions by 11 runs in the opening game of the third edition of Indian Premier League on Friday.
Previously, Angelo Mathews and Owais Shah hit unbeaten 50 runs to rescue Kolkata Knight Riders from a slow start and lead the team to a fighting-161 / 4 against the defending champions Deccan Chargers.
Mathews (65 not out) and Shah (58 not out) put unbeaten century partnership as Knight Riders, from none for two in the first over and 31/4 in the sixth, rallied to cross 150-run mark at the DY Patil Stadium.
