Make Your Presence Felt Online Through Google Profile
Think search, think Google. Google is ranked as the number one website in many countries across the globe by Alexa rankings. Recently, Google released its new product ‘Google Me’, a feature that allows you to get control over what appears on Google search when someone searches your name.
When someone searches for a name on Goolge, he/she will now get a list of Google Profiles that users have submitted under that name. This will appear right at the bottom of the search result page. If you do not have a Google Profile, you will be given an option to make one when you Google ‘Me’.
This will be very good for you if you have a a situation wherein when you search for your name on Google and you end up seeing search result of famous celebrities. It is also helpful for those who are not happy with the search results that come up when they search for their name on Google.
Filling a Google Profile form is simple and easy. All you need to do is open this link: http://www.google.com/profiles and fill the details such as name, address, company name, links of your websites or blogs, upload photos and contact info. If you are signed into your Google Account, clicking this link for the first time will show you a form in which your name will be auto-filled. Once it is done, you will be shown your Google Proflie URL link. You can even customize the URL – google.com/profiles/yourname.
Looks like Google has once again done a good job in unlocking a potential business profit through Google Profile. Taking account the loyal users of Google, Google Profile is expected to be a big hit.
