Natural Ways to lighten your skin
Every shade of the skin is beautiful, but in the process of ageing one’s skin goes through a lot of changes. Freckles can emerge, dark spots may arise and skin might become dark and look weather-beaten by constant exposure to sun. One should do a sensitivity test before applying any chemical ingredients as most of the products that are available in the market might alleviate the problem. But why go out when you can treat your skin at home. So if you are not ready to embrace your dark side, here are some pointers to naturally lighten your skin.
- One of the best and easiest ways is to drink plenty of water. One should drink at least a litre and a half of water every day.
- Exfoliating the skin once a week will remove the dead cells accumulated on the skin and will lighten and brighten one’s skin. Mix a teaspoon of sugar with a few drops of lemon juice and rub the face gently with it. It will produce a tingling sensation. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse the face with lukewarm water.
- Homemade masks are very nice means to naturally lighten your skin. Some homemade masks are mentioned below and can be tried one time a week .
- Mix a teaspoon of oatmeal powder, a pinch of turmeric and a few drops of lemon to make a thick paste. Leave it to dry after applying to your face. Wash off mask with hot water. A face pack made of mashed ripe papaya, fuller’s earth and cucumber juice when applied to the face will tighten and lighten it.
- Take one tablespoon of lemon juice, sandalwood paste, tomato juice and cucumber juice and form their paste. Spread the mixture on your face and wait until it dries, then rinse for a natural radiance.
- Some daily remedies include applying slices of raw potato to the face or apply milk/natural yoghurt to the face with a cloth. Leave the juice for 10 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water to experience an innate glow.
