Opposition React Badly to Budget 2010, Opposition Walks Out
The opposition has reacted very badly to the Budget 2010-11. The opposition comprising people like Sushma Swaraj, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav staged a combined walkout during the process of budget speech that Pranab Mukherjee was giving.
The opposition walked out in protest of finance minister Pranab Mukherjee’s move to increase excise duty of Re 1 per litre on petrol and diesel. ”BJP stages walkout in protest against “inflationary budget”, said leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj. Lalu Prasad Yadav reacted that the Budget was in opposition to the aspiration of the common man. Lalu said that Congress party is increasing costs of fertilizer, cement, petrol and diesel.
Experts termed opposition walkout from the Budget speech as totally indisciplined and indecent.
