Prostate Cancer – Symptoms and Preventions Treatment

prostate-cancerProstate Cancer is the cancer of the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system that produces and stores seminal fluid. Prostate is located in the pelvis, in front of the rectum and below the urinary bladder. Cancer in the prostate happens when the cells in the gland grow uncontrollably thus forming tumors. Prostate cancer is usually seen in men who are older than fifty years.

Prostate cancer is very difficult to diagnose as the progress of the cancer is very slow compared to other types of cancers. In most cases the symptoms show up very slowly and sometimes they don’t show up at all, some may even die without even knowing that they had prostate cancer. A biopsy is always the best test to detect prostate cancer.
