Restoring old photographs
Do you wish to restore old photographs and pictures?

Old photographs are our link with the past. However, preserving and displaying them is not always easy. Over time, photographs tend to become yellow or faded. Here are tips to restoring old photographs.
• Use non-coated plastic polyester sleeves to store your pictures: Cardboard and paper can harm old photographs.Use non-coated plastic polyester sleeves to store your pictures Avoid stacking them all together especially facing each other. They will eventually stick together, ruining both pictures.
• Store your pictures in a place where the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius: Avoid placing old pictures in direct sunlight. Also if kept in a wet or humid place, you can be dead sure that your pictures will be spoilt in no time. Keep it in a dry drawer.
. Scan your old photographs: Scanning is one of the good things that you can do to restore your old photographs. Just make sure you use clean gloves while handling them so that they do not get tattered.
. Do not use liquid: Never use liquid or water to clean old photographs even if you find that the material is tougher. Wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Put such pictures in clean plastic.
