Swine Flu Computer Virus strikes!

Though Japan has no cases of deadly swine flu as of now, a computer virus called ‘Swine Flu Virus’ is doing the rounds online. Japan’s National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) said on its website that a suspicious email message with an attached file called “information on swine flu” is being circulated online.
“The email is carrying a file titled ‘information on swine flu’, which has been recognized as an illegal program by the institute’s virus-checking software,” the NIID statement said. The email, sent from senders in the “@yahoo.co.jp” domain, seemed to be sent to random Internet users, the institute said.
Japan has no reported cases of swine flu, which is believed to have killed up to 84 people in Mexico – 8 of them confirmed — and has spread to the US, Europe, Israel and New Zealand. Read about symptoms and treatment of Swine Flu.
