How do I make a Swine Flu Insurance Claim? Swine Flu is a curable disease and one does not require even hospitalization even the disease is detected early. Here is how you can make a swine flu insurance claim:
1. Initiate the Swine Flu Insurance Claim process as soon as you are advised hospitalization. Remember that you need to be hospitalized for 24 hours to file a claim for health insurance.
2. Get in touch with the hospital and fill up the pre-authorization form
3. The hospital then takes it up with the third party administrator . The TPA which has relevant details about you will approve the authorization.
4. After the policy holder is discharged, the hospital submits the bills to the TPA.
5. In case of delays or rejection of the authorization form, you may need to pay upfront. In this case, keep all the necessary documents ready including the doctor’s consultation slips, diagnosis tests, reports and discharge slips.
