Veer Movie Review: Veer Fights 3 Idiots

Veer has to fight three idiots, we are not talking about the 3 Idiots from one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters, but three idiots: Jackie Shroff(the raja of Madavgarh), the British general and his father (Mithun Chakraborthy). This very much sums up the essence of the movie Veer.
Anil Sharma, director of the film, follows a predictable route which was seen in Gaddar and Manmohan Desai’s Mard. The setting is historical alright, but the story is filmy. The costumes are disastrous and the climax and penultimate part of the movie are hackneyed. With done to death plots, Veer does not have much to offer.
To be fair to the film, there are some good action scenes that intermittently provide spark to the film. Salman Khan and Zarine Khan share good chemistry but the repeated songs often act as intrusions. Salman Khan shines in the film, he is the only reason to watch Veer. Zarine Khan is promising and looks cute and chubby. Mithun Chakraborthy is an able supporting hand in the film.
