Vitamin D Depression
Vitamin D depression
Many recent studies have explored the potential benefit of vitamin D and the potential risks of its deficit. Low levels of vitamin D linked to heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and asthma.
Older people often found a lack of vitamin D; it is associated with an increased risk of fractures, deterioration of physical functions and a variety of chronic diseases.
American researchers have found that vitamin D deficiency is also associated with increased risk of depression.
Thus, a large number of patients with depression have genetic variations that affect the work of the protein used by cells to signal each other in the brain. Also, studies have shown that people with depression have greater activity in certain areas of their brain.
Unfortunately, the possible methods for vitamin d depression are currently unable to determine why stress causes pathological changes in some people and what their contribution to the genetics of disease. Scientists have created a new model of mice, to see why some people predisposed to develop depression after life stress tested.
Biologists have made genetic changes in the mediator, driving signaling protein called serotonin, which provides connections between neurons in the brain. The changes resembled genetic changes found in people with high risk of depression. Men with genetic changes are more likely to have symptoms of depression and social anxiety.
The theory has been questioned by few researchers and they decline the surety of curing depression with vitamin d. However, it is proved that sunlight (from which we can get vitamin d) can bring changes in the mood and lack of sunlight increases the chances of depression.
