Google Nexus One, the Google phone is finally out. Nexus One promises to take on the likes of the best smart phones of 2009 Nokia, Blackberry, LG and Nokia. The competition is set to get hotter in 2010. By the way, Nexus Phone will not be sold thorugh retail stores, it will be sold online only.
Google’s self-proclaimed superphone doesn’t disappoint. It has a whole set of cool features that are sure to enrapture you. Here are some of the features of Google Nexus One:
1. Google phone is not locked by the operator like the iPhone. It has tied up with major operators Verizon and Tmobile in the US and Vodafone in the UK
2. Google phone runs on Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 software, the best version of the mobile operating system from Google. Nexus One is the first mobile to use the Android 2.1 OS. The phone runs on 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, Android has a mere 18,000 applications in front of the iphone’s stupendous number of 100000 applications.
3. Nexus One has a noise reduction feature which will x out the background noise during phone calls
4.The touchscreen design of Google Nexus One has been done in partnership wtih HTC Corp of Taiwan thatt made the first Android powered phone.
5. Nexus One has introduced voice enabled keyboard for all text fields. This means you can speak a text message, tweet or update Facebook or even email through your voice, rather than type.
6. Nexus One is currently available in the US, UK, Hong Kong and Singapore. Indian consumers have to wait longer to buy Nexus One.
7. Nexus One comes with a a teflon coated back which repels dust and some dirt which mobile phones catch on a daily basis (when kept in pockets or on desks or tables). So technically speaking, the imported phone should even come in Indian markets in a few weeks.
Nexus One is priced at $529, the smart phone is cheaper than Apple’s iPhone priced at Rs.30000. In fact, Apple’s iPhone 3gs when available in India can cost Rs.40000. Nexus One is the 21st mobile device that runs on Android, mobile operating system of Google, introduced in 2007
